Sweets Project
Thank you for your interest in supporting this venture. The Project
has three major aims:
- To work with LOCAL BUSINESSES AND JOB SEEKERS as a
catalyst for getting LOCAL PEOPLE into LOCAL JOBS.
- To provide occupation and training for workers with INTELLECTUAL
AND PHYSICAL DISABILITIES. The Project currently provides
meaningful work
for large numbers
of these special Australians.
- To help ensure employment
is maintained in Australian industries,
we use AUSTRALIAN MADE products and packaging wherever possible.

The basis of operation is the placement
of the Sweet Stands in various commercial, government and industrial
premises. The Stand is left on a consignment basis, at no cost to
the venue.
We accept that from time to time there may be a shortage
of product or money, however we do not hold the premises liable.
We do of course, appreciate all efforts to ensure the safe custody
of
the Stand, but we do understand that there will be occasional
losses, and these are written off accordingly.
By placing a number of Stands into a geographical area, the Project
also creates a job for a LOCAL person to service them. This
person replaces sold stock and
collects money for Sweets sold.
At this point in time there is a large and growing
team of service people servicing stands across three States,
as well
as administration staff and numerous intellectually disabled
packing staff all gainfully employed through this Project.
We
again thank you for your interest, and trust that we may
be able to count on your ongoing support.
